Independent Senior Living

Independent Senior Living

The Backstory:

A high end senior living provider built a new community with the goal of celebrating that their residents are the heart of their community.

Helping their residents live healthy, engaged lives is both the mission and the driving passion.

The interior design firm came to us with the following requirements:

  • The art must be a reflection of the residents; vibrant, energetic, and full of life and curiosity
  • The art must be able to carry the space it’s in. It must be able to serve as the focal point, or points, of the space. The art must deeply engage through both color and imagery.

We immediately knew this was an excellent opportunity to stretch our design and curation expertise beyond traditional nature photography, and we eagerly embraced it.

Abstract Photography

Design Statement: “You’re never too old for new challenges, new vistas, and new discoveries!”

Abstract photography is used in both transitional and communal spaces, such as hallways and lounges. Vibrant, saturated colors coupled with perspectives that transform the familiar into something new, reflect an eagerness to explore new horizons and new ideas. Throughout every facility are rewards for all those still hungry for adventure.

Macro Photography

Design Statement: “Look beyond the surface, dig deeper, and discover amazing things!”

In the same vein, macro photography reveals previously unseen details in everyday objects. Inviting viewers to look closer and discover the richness and beauty that had been hiding in plain sight all along, macro photography serves as a reflection and a reminder of the rich and beautiful lives lived that are a part of each and every resident.

Abstract Fine Art

Design Statement: “Embrace the depths of wonder, creativity, and human ingenuity to inspire your own spirit to soar fast and free!”

Abstract fine art is all about communicating emotions and moods through color, shape, and form. Unlike representational art that works to provide windows into the world as we know it, abstract fine art tries to infuse a space with energy and feelings, while simultaneously engaging the mind and the imagination.
